A.net meeting in FRA

Welcome to my first mini trip report in English here.

Background
I had been invited by FLIEGER67 (from a.net) to join A.net meeting at FRA on 9.07.2011. Thanks to airline-direct.de I managed to book LH flights for only 95 euros. I had also all Sunday to visit Frankfurt.

Load factor on both flights were: ~95%




I can only said that this was typical LH flight.

After arriving I went to our meeting point and spent all day there in very good company.
The meeting was great. I really enjoyed it. Actually I don't have enough words to describe it.

Sunday I spent all day in Frankfurt together with Markku:



















I said goodbye to Markku and went to check-in machines at the airport, there I found that all window seats were occupied. At the gate I asked to change my seat and got window seat.





I received SMS from LH that my flight will departure with some delay.

I fly for Lufthansa CityLine and am so sad that our CRJ700 and 900 don't fly to SOF... But it can change. The winter flightst FRA SOF will be operated by our EMJ90.

Thank for the trip report! Next time when you visit FRA get on top of the cylinder shaped skyscraper, there is an amazing view from there....its like you are flying over FRA

So they used 737s both in the summer and winter. This year we see 32s in the summer and E195 in the winter. Are they expecting pax-number decrease, increasing load factor by switching to smaller a/c or going to bring additional daily flight? Just asking

Usually we compare winter with winter, and not winter with summer.

Last winter we had a mix of 735 (108 seats) and 733 (124). This winter we'll get either E190 (100) or E195 (116) on both flights. It's not a major difference really.

On the other hand - keep in mind that it's the network that matters - boosting capacity from MUC can offset cap-reduction from FRA.

P.S. Furthermore the 737s are being phased out now.

It will be the E190, as (almost) all E195 are based in MUC. It's a nice a/c, more leg space, clean and friendly cabin, i find it better that the 737.
