До вчера имаха заложени полети до София в петък до 10.02.2012 . Днес решили петъчните полети да са до 03.02.

AZ за пореден път са анулирали полета до Рим.. Направи ми впечатление,че FB летят този следобед до Милано и утре сутрин до Рим с А319, сигурно за да поемат пътниците .. Някаква идея защо Алиталия толкова често анулират напоследък?

Wizz Air adds 10 new routes from Budapest base

Wizz Air, the largest low fare - low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced today that it would bring a sixth aircraft to its base in Budapest and will open 10 new routes in the coming months, bringing the total to 33 destinations served. This latest phase of the airline’s recent expansion in the Hungarian capital increases capacity to over 2.5 million seats a year.

The sixth in a series of recently announced additional aircraft will begin operating as of early April 2012, with new routes to Malaga (Spain), Bucharest and Cluj (Romania), Warsaw (Poland), Sofia (Bulgaria), Larnaca (Cyprus), and Heraklion, Zakynthos, Rhodes, Thessaloniki (Greece). With these newest additions and the capacity increase announced last week, Wizz Air has now added more than a million new seats to their network. These new routes are already on sale at wizzair.com.

In addition to these new routes, Wizz Air is now offering an unprecendented deal to passengers throughout its network - 2500 seats are on sale now for HUF 2500 (approx. EUR 9).

Wizz Air also aims to start services to non-European markets such as Tel Aviv, Kiev, Moscow, and Istanbul, subject to designation and regulatory approval.

In light of the airline’s growth in Budapest, Wizz Air is in the process of recruiting 100 additional local staff, bringing its total employee count close to 400 in Hungary. In addition, approximately 2,000 jobs have been created in service industries that support Wizz Air’s operation.

Браво! Възстановяват се полетите от София и до Прага, и до Будапеща Е вярно, без добрите възможности за трансфер с Малев и ЧСА, но все пак ..
В тази връзка, преди години нямаше ли пак линия София-Будапеща на Уиз?

Полетите са били с много хубави часове тогава.. Имало е възможност човек да си направи екскурзия в два пълни дни

World Airways and its parent company file for bankruptcy

World Airways’ parent Global Aviation Holdings has filed for bankruptcy.

Its US military charter business "the largest in the world" has been hampered by the US’ forces exit from Iraq, defence spending cuts, labour costs and mounting debt.

Less than a fortnight before, the Pentagon outlined a US$487 billion slash in spending until 2022.

Shipping cargo and soldiers constitutes over 75 per cent of Global Aviation’s revenue and, with the news that the US plans to end combat operations in Afghanistan by 2014, the future looks bleak.

Global lost $60.3 million on revenue of $775.1 million in the nine months ended 30 September 2011, compared with a year-earlier loss of $6.9 million on revenue of $877 million.

“While Global Aviation has navigated fluctuations in demand in the past, the current decrease, coupled with high labour and fixed costs, excess aircraft and an overleveraged balance sheet, requires [us] to restructure,” chief financial officer William Garrett comments.

Global will dismiss almost a tenth of its workforce by 5 April" 140 workers out of 1,782. Executive salaries are also being cut by 10 per cent.

The company, whose affiliates North American Airlines and World Airways are also included in the bankruptcy, says it plans to operate normally during the process.
